Craftsmanship in the City: Walking with the Huguenots
Journey the streets of Spitalfields to discover the crafts and skills of the Huguenots, followed by a visit to the Museum of London with two Museum of London Curators to view key pieces in their collection relating to Huguenot craftsmanship.

Journeymen Weavers Walk with Author Julian Woodford
Retrace the steps of Joseph Merceron, a vicious gangster and corrupt magistrate who controlled the lives of the original journeymen weavers. Led by Julian Woodford, author of Merceron biography The Boss of Bethnal Green.

Huguenot Footsteps Spitalfields
Many Huguenots brought their skills (known as ‘the Mysteries of the Strangers’), new techniques, new ideas and the incomparable French style. Our monthly walking tour tells the story of these remarkable people, who originated the word ‘refugee’, where they have lived, worked and worshipped.

The French Connection: Life in 18th Century Spitalfields
We are partnering with Dennis Severs’ House for an exclusive tour of this eccentric and inspiring building, personally hosted by the Curator, David Milne, and preceded by a new 75-minute walk highlighting life in 18th century London.

Private Visit to the Goldsmiths’ Centre
Join us for a private visit to the Goldsmiths’ Centre, followed by a Clerkenwell tour where you will hear about the skills of the clockmakers, watchmakers, engravers and silversmiths who settled here. This is followed by a Huguenot Walk of Clerkenwell.

Part of the Faith, Freedom and Football initiative by the City of London, this is a chance to understand the story and theology of the spiritual leader of the Huguenots. Revd Lee Gatiss is a leading Calvin expert and a vibrant and engaging speaker.

Visit to the Huguenot Museum in Rochester
Rochester is a fascinating town with its cathedral, castle and the remarkable Restoration House, not to mention its association with Dickens. On this day trip you will have an opportunity to walk around this historic town and visit the Huguenot Museum which houses an array of unique and fascinating artefacts.
